During the analysis of procurement routines aboard Dar Młodzieży, a training vessel operated by Gdynia Maritime University (GMU), recurring inefficiencies were observed in inventory verification and order forecasting. This paper investigates the current state of onboard provisioning practices and explores the feasibility of digital intervention using a custom-built prototype platform: DYLLI SHIP. The prototype adapts digital workflows originally tested in the HoReCa sector, combining role-based approvals, mandatory stock updates prior to ordering, and integrated food waste tracking. This research highlights the challenges of digital transformation in maritime education and proposes a replicable system architecture to improve transparency, reduce waste, and support data-informed supply chain management.
